Now to be straight-forward, this is probably the best strobe light I've owned so far, and for less than 50 dollars! Trust me, I've gone through plenty of lights and have been quite disappointed (blown fuses, crappy cord lengths, weak lights etc.). Now, onto the pros and cons!: Pros: -LONG cord -Toggle switch with various strobe light options. -On/off switch, with the ability to memorize the last used pattern. -BRIGHT lights -Strong waterproof casing (My first use of this light was during a strong rain storm, on the job, and on the road going over 50 MPH) -Great magnetic retention. My personal opinion on other people's problems with it, I believe it depends on the type of vehicle you have, and the base you use to stick your magnets to. If you're just sticking this on top of a modern Toyota Corolla vs. and F350 Ford Super Duty work truck, one will stick stronger than the other due to the materials the vehicle is made out of. -Small enough to stick to the very top of a headache rack or a vehicle's rooftop. It was so small, it literally fits inside your typical Amazon Locker boxes. -Economically priced. This will definitely not break the bank to buy. Cons: -This strobe light uses the same AC adapter head like the previous strobe light that I had that had fuse issues, and it was a little concerning but I'm willing to give this light a chance. I will update if anything changes and if there's anything else that I may note. I will also try to get a video/photos of this light in use.
Pretty happy with this for the price. Reasonably bright and has some interesting flashing patterns. I saw some reviewers complaining about the strength of the magnet--this is obviously not meant to be left on the roof of your vehicle long term. It's not a strong magnet. It suits my needs perfectly, which is for emergency use only.
Great little light bar so far. It survived extremely bumpy roads at moderate to low speeds. It also survived a few tree swipes. It may survive highway driving DEPENDING on your vehicle. It works fine on older model trucks at highway speed, but does like to slide off a newer model car at those same speeds. If you aren't sure or willing to take the risk, don't. For the price you can't go wrong, but realize it is not as bright as higher end models.
Very bright led light, day and night, great deal for your money. Nice flash patterns, great for pilot/escort secondary lighting.
Very bright, my wife thought I would go blind looking at it. I ordered another one to make it even on my truck. Bright enough to overpower the sun and great at night. It has many programs to run too.
Mounted this light on top of my golf cart which I often use to do work on my property which borders a road. I made a mounting plate with an sheet metal surface to use with the magnetic base. I also installed a cigarette receptacle for the power need. It has a multitude of flashing patterns and is very bright. Highly recommended.
I bought this unit to replace a 3-year old unit that is very similar in look, function and design. The old unit worked very well, but showed signs of age and use, so I felt it was time to replace it. This new unit appears to be well designed and even a little better. It's probably 50% brighter than the old one and the light shows very well in a full 360ยบ circle of light when you look at it from ANY angle. The old unit worked best ONLY when looking straight at the flasher. If you got to the side of the flasher, it was much less bright. I've only used it for 1 night so far, so I may update this review later. Pros: Very bright for the money. Brighter than my old similar unit. Better cost. My old unit sells for nearly $60, this one was only $45 (and you might find it cheaper if you look around.) Good magnetic contact to the roof. It should hold up well to freeway speeds as well as my old unit did. Offers many more flash patterns and will remember the last flash pattern used. Easy to use on/off switch and pattern select buttons. Appears to be water/rain proof. (Will update as I use it more. We are still getting a lot of rain.) Cons: My old unit had a curled cord. This one is straight. So I have to deal with extra cord that kind of gets in the way. The curled cord seems to work better for my needs. The rubber footings that protect the car roof from the metal magnets are a little thin. Much thinner than my old unit's rubber cups. I am afraid they might wear thru with use and age. (Time will tell.) But all in all, I am very pleased with this new flasher. The brightness is much better and I feel like I'm seen better when I need to use it for on sight lighting inspections late at night when I'm driving thru truck yards and I want to make sure I'm seen. For the price, I'm not sure you can find a much better flash unit. I will update as needed to report any new items of note.
For the money this lights is very good. Bright enough during the day and plenty bright at night. The choice of patterns really impressed me! The magnet base is plenty strong and I have had no issues at highway speeds. Cord length is long enough to reach the outlet on a crew cab with the light mounted at the back. I would buy again! excellent
i love it , it is bright enough since i deliver on a busy hwy. ty very much i hope it last a while...
