Great performance, amazing value.
Great lights I'm very happy with my purchase. Very visible during the day and extremely bright at night
I like this light. For the price I doubt you are going to find a better warning light. There are a couple of issues that I'm not happy with. First, the light output is weak during the day. It's adequate but I wish it was brighter. Secondly, I'm not happy with the power switch. The one push button turns it on and changes the pattern. I have it plugged into a switched power outlet. It doesn't stay on the last pattern. You have to push the power button until it goes back to your desired pattern. Lastly, the coiled cord doesn't stretch well. All in all it is a good light. I have it mounted on a Skid steer for snow removal.
Awesome light! Very bright during the day and especially at night. There is no "on/off" switch but it's easy just to unplug it. The magnets are strong and the thing doesn't move, (tested at 65 in the rain and wind). I think there are more than 7 modes but I did not exactly count. The cord is a perfect length for my SUV. I have a 2010 ford escape. Hopefully I can upload a few pictures later on. I will update this review in the future.
This model appears to have seen some improvements since the original reviews; it uses a straight rather than curled cord now, and remembers your flashing pattern after you turn it off so that it resumes when you turn it on again. Unfortunately my unit arrived with 3 defective LEDs adjacent to each other. They don't significantly affect the overall functionality of the unit, but I am worried about its long-term reliability. It's otherwise sturdy and the magnetic mount holds well. The cord is long enough to reach the DC adapter in my center console, making it easy to turn off/on and change the flash pattern. UPDATE 2/8/2017: The marketplace vendor that sells these reached out to me to see if there was anything he could do to improve my satisfaction with this product. As a result, I've been sent a new unit that is defect-free. I've adjusted my rating accordingly; this seems to be a very good value and the seller stands behind it.
Super bright and easy to work with. Put it on my car and I know everyone from every angle will see it on top of my car.
I purchased as a breakdown/emergency warning light for the family vehicles. I tested it for a few minutes. It is inexpensive and will be super visible for a nighttime roadside breakdown or emergency. The build quality seems good for occasional use. I dont like the coiled cord, I suggest buying an straight extension cord. I am going to purchase another in all white for the other family vehicle. From my short testing, the white leds seemed much brighter and more visible. For the money, I couldnt find anything with close to this amount of visibility for breakdown/emergency use.
So this thing worked great for about 5 minutes, then one quadrant of the lights stopped working (except for 1 vertical strip of led's in that quadrant)...I was bummed to say the least. I decided to take it apart and figure out what's wrong with it, and figured if it was totally junk, I'd just eat the $60 and buy a better one. To make a looooong story short, I found a break in the circuitry on the LED board (which is pretty flimsy)...repaired with patience and accuracy with a soldering iron...works great again, but for how long? You definitely get what you pay for here, so I'm giving it a 4 because it is actually decent for the $, and I understand that my case may be a 1 in however many chance (and I have a very good knowledge of electronics, so I can fix stuff when it breaks, like this)...other (nicer) models get pretty pricey so you could go through 4 of these and still be ahead of the game. All in all, I'm pretty peeved that I had to fix this thing almost right out of the box (hadn't even taken the shrink wrap off the plastic!) BUT, decent for the money, patterns are cool, lights are relatively bright, I hope this thing lasts. I also wish they used a better circuit board for the LED's and resistors but like i said, you get what you pay for. I have detailed pictures of this fix if anyone has had this same issue, contact me through amazon. -Zack
