I was looking at the ones for a couple hundred bucks and thought i would just try this one. it is AWESOME. some of the flash settings are pretty goofy but when using it for plowing it is very bright. the magnets work well. overall for the price it is hard to beat
Lights work great with variety of flashing options, and yes the light remembers which strobe setting you had it on last. Seems to mount and hold on just fine, I had it at speeds up to 50 mph and it didn't move. But it's bulkier than I thought it would be and would hate to see what happens if it were to fly off at higher speeds. I only gave four stars because why would you make an emergency light only rated at speeds up to 40 mph? The back roads around my house are 45, and if I receive a fire call am I supposed to drive 5 mph under the speed limit? That parts frustrating, but overall I like the light. Will probably test it at higher speeds in near future, will post any negative results
Plenty bright for dusk/night operation. Adequate for daylight use however not super bright but for the price this can't be beat. Stays in place at freeway speeds and is not affected by rain. Mode selected stays after power removal. This is a nice feature so that you don't have to scroll down the mode selection every time that power is removed. I would had given this five stars if it were brighter for daylight use, but overall a great value.
One can only expect so much for such a low price. But the quality of this unit seems pretty good. As far as brightness, I'd have to say it's right in the middle of the pack. Not super bright, but not dim by any means. Basic choice of flash patters are available. Good light bar to have if you break down on the side of the road and need a little extra warning for oncoming traffic. Cord is long enough to mount this on my headache rack and run the cord through the back window to the dash of my crew cab pickup truck.
